Early wickets in the powerplay provided false hope before Charlie Allison and Luc Benkenstein took the game away from Middlesex with their stand of 133 for the third wicket in 91 balls, allowing the visitors to post a daunting score of 176-5 on a challenging pitch.
Middlesex never threatened to get close with Ryan Higgins’ 36 the only score of note as they were hustled out for 116 with 13 balls to spare.
