After a brief County Championship interlude, what could Middlesex – their prospects of a T20 knockout berth already restricted to the realm of mathematicians – achieve during the second half of the Vitality Blast?

Respectability? To a certain degree, in that they avoided finishing last in the South Group and ended the tournament with three victories in four games, all away from home.
