Adam Rossington says he ‘jumped at the chance’ to rejoin Middlesex when he received the county’s SOS call to replace the injured Joe Cracknell in the Vitality Blast.
The 33-year-old wicketkeeper-batter made his comeback on Friday against Kent Spitfires at Lord’s, smashing 79 from 43 balls at the top of the order – albeit in a losing cause.
Rossington had been without a county since his departure from Essex at the end of last season, since when he has featured in T20 franchises in Nepal and Bangladesh and playing club cricket.
