Sebastian Morgan will benefit in the long run from a day of hard yakka against Durham at Lord’s according to Middlesex bowling coach Tim Murtagh.
Teenage speedster Morgan’s start to first team life with the Seaxes has been largely a story of highs so far.
There was his scattering of former England opener Keaton Jennings’ to gain his maiden first-class wicket last September.
Then who could forget his 97 against Gloucestershire in the final game of last season, while this season’s curtain-raiser against the same opponents brought him 4-48, the best figures yet of a career in it’s infancy.
