Middlesex have recruited South African paceman Eathan Bosch as their overseas player across all formats from the beginning of May.

Bosch, who turns 28 later this month, is in line to make his debut for the Seaxes when they take on Durham in the Rothesay County Championship at Lord’s from May 1.

The right-arm quick will be available when Middlesex launch their T20 campaign in a slimmed-down South Group three weeks later and could also feature in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup later in the summer.

Although the county fielded an unchanged line-up for their first two games of the season, Bosch’s arrival should help enable them to rotate their seam bowling options during a heavy red-ball schedule.
