Consolidation is the name of the game for Middlesex as they go into day three with a handy first-innings lead over Worcestershire, according to Toby Roland-Jones.
The Seaxes bowled their hosts out for 265 at New Road, earning themselves an advantage of 74 which Sam Robson and Ben Geddes extended by another five prior to stumps on Saturday.
Roland-Jones, who finished with figures of 4-41 after removing three of Worcestershire’s top four, admitted the visitors might have displayed a more ruthless streak by pressing home their advantage.
