Head coach Peter Fulton believes Middlesex’s top order will benefit from time spent at the crease on the final day at Northampton when they return to County Championship action in 10 days’ time against Durham.
Sam Robson batted more than six and a half hours for 162, his first century of the summer, while Max Holden contributed 86 as the Seaxes’ game against Northamptonshire fizzled out into a draw.
