Up The Middle caught up with women’s skipper, Australian-born, Scotland international Saskia Horley for a Q & A about her journey in cricket.

Q: Firstly Saskia, where does your love of cricket come from?

SH: I started watching my dad play, like most people really. He didn’t play at a super-high level. It was club cricket with a bunch of his mates, many of whom had young children around that time, so a lot of us went down and played on the boundary while the match was going on.

And I played in the backyard like most Aussies do around Christmastime in the summer.
