It’s high time we talked about Ali Orr.
The left-handed batter/keeper has for some time now been touted as the next likely arrival at Middlesex with Hampshire’s independent news site ‘The Hawk’ first flagging up the move a month ago.
There’s yet to be any official confirmation either from Hampshire or Middlesex of a switch at the end of the season, but there is an increasing sense an announcement from the former may be imminent.
Assuming that is the case, it begs the question what does the opener’s incoming mean for other current members of the squad, especially those at the top of the order?
