Duke hails fresh start with men of Lord's

The wicketkeeper batter put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Middlesex yesterday so calling time on his era with the county of his birth to head south to Lord’s.

The permanent move comes after two stunning loan spells covering for the injured Joe Cracknell, during which time he’s scored a maiden first-class hundred, come close to a second one and made a pugnacious 55 in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup final last Sunday to help give Middlesex their first trophy in any format for a decade.
