With the sun having set on the 2026 summer of cricket, we are committed to keeping you both informed and hopefully entertained over the long winter nights which stretch out ahead of us.

Middlesex’s 2026 on-field exploits took place against a backdrop of off-field disarray and financial constraints, producing a mix of both the predictable, the surprising and the downright thrilling in the case of a certain cup win which we’ll examine later this month.

For now though we begin by reflecting on April and May’s ups and downs in the County Championship.
